    Preparation

Primo exterior wood sealers, stains and epoxy finishes are recommended for all outdoors wood furniture, wood chairs, wood tables, picnic tables, play-sets, lattice, planters, fences, wood gates and more. Great for touch up and annual wood maintenance.  Epoxy top coat can be used by its self or together with Primo exterior wood sealers. Covers: 25 sq ft. on non-porous flat surfaces.

Staining Conditions: Use adequate ventilation at all times. Apply at temperatures above 55F (10C) or below 90F (32C) and humidity below 85%.

Preparation: Surface should be clean, dull and dry before application. Remove gray, mildew or dirt before applying product.  Penetrates best on new wood that is exposed to outdoor elements for 1-2 weeks prior to staining or sealing.

Staining: Shake can for 1-2 minutes and during use.  Test stain in an inconspicuous area first.  Hold can 8 inches away form surface, spray in a sweeping motion, side to side, be careful not to over apply. For best results spray and wipe product with a lint free rag or staining pad. To ensure uniformity, spray product into rag and lightly wipe in the direction of wood grain. If additional coats are desired, wait 1-2 hours.

Dry Times: Allow surface to fully dry 24 hours before use. Slower dry times may result from applications on wood with higher oil content or periods of high humidity and low temperatures.

After Use: Prevent clogs in spray can by holding can upside down and spraying until clear gas appears. Clean up overspray with mineral spirits following manufactures instructions.

Wood Preparation: Lightly sand new wood with fine to medium sandpaper prier to sealing to ensure Primo wood stain will stick properly. Wipe clean with a damp rag to remove dust. If wood has be previously painted, Paint must be remove to bare wood.  If  wood has been  previously stained, make sure the Primo Epoxy Clear Shield will stick to the surface of the wood before using. Test area by dripping water on the surface of wood. If  water penetrates,  so will the Primo. If water beads you may have to sand the surface first. Surface should be clean, dull and dry before staining.

If the wood has been sealed or is discolored it  can be remove with a chemical striper or simply sanding the wood.  Once the wood has been cleaned you can apply Primo Epoxy Clear Shield to the wood.

Maintenance only requires a light sanding and re-application annually
